Metro Blue Line

The Metro Blue Line runs every 7-10 minutes between downtown Los Angeles on 7th Street and Figueroa to Long Beach at the Long Beach Transit Mall. The entire trip is approximately 55 minutes and is entirely driven by electricity. The two-car trains are sometimes connected to another two-car train to provide four light-rail cars during peek ridership periods. Stations are well lit, monitored and offer a multitude of information and are wheelchair friendly. Tracks are continuously welded to provide a fairly quiet and somewhat smooth ride. The blue line stops at every metro rail station on its route so passengers have every opportunity to board and disembark from their trip at any time.
